Public Library Statistics

The Montana State Library Public Library Annual Statistical Report, also referred to as the Public Libraries Survey, provides statistics on the status of public libraries in Montana. Data includes information about library visits, circulation, size of collections, public service hours, staffing, electronic resources, operating revenues and expenditures and number of service outlets. For more details on the reporting process, please visit Public Library Statistics.

The below dashboard was created using data from the Montana Public Libraries Survey as well as data from the Institute of Museum and Library Services' Public Libraries Survey. The layout and formatting of the dashboard may change over time. New metrics are occasionally added to the survey and will show as a 0 value for the years prior to their collection.

The layout of the dashboard may be compressed depending on the size of the viewing screen. Click "Full Screen" on the lower right-hand corner of the dashboard for a larger view.
